Diet-
Elephants eat grass, roots, fruit, vegtables, bamboo, bark, banana palm and coco palm . They use their tusks to pull the bark from trees and dig roots out of the ground. An elephant has an appetite that matches its size so elephants normally eat 80-90ks a day of food but the bigger they grow the more they want to eat.

Habitat-
Elephants at Taronga Zoo live in a beautiful enclosure to make them feel comfortable in the area allocated. To make them feel like they are in the wild, the zoo keepers add water, rocks and many plants for them to eat on. Their enclosure has a mix of grassy floors, rocky floors and soft bark to make a good spot for them to sleep. Their enclosures have many sticks, ropes and other things for them to climb and play on.
